Christoph Schober has been a partner at Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel since 2002 and, as a patent attorney, he advises clients above all in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, electronic and information technology, process technology, vehicle technology, aerospace technology and medical technology.

Christoph Schober comes from Saarbrücken. After taking his Abitur in 1989, he completed his military service in Koblenz. He studied mechanical engineering and process technology at Kaiserslauten University from 1990 to 1995 and graduated as a Diplom-Ingenieur. He subsequently completed his training as a patent attorney in Düsseldorf and Munich and became a chartered Germany patent attorney in 2000.

He then qualified as a professional representative before the European Patent Office and in 2008 he also completed studies in law at the distance learning University of Hagen with the qualification Legum Magister (LL.M.).

Christoph Schober’s professional activities cover all the areas of intellectual property rights. His main activities concern advice and representation before the European Patent Office (EPO), the Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the Austrian Patent Office (ÖPA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as well as national civil courts, in particular in dispute litigation such as opposition, invalidity and infringement proceedings. In addition, he is also regularly entrusted with the negotiation and drafting of contracts.
