Roland Nuber - Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel

Roland Nuber has worked as Senior Counsel for Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel since 2011. The main focus of his activities lies in the fields of combustion engines, high pressure fluid pump systems, process engineering and sealing technology as well as safety equipment, particularly for doors and hatches, in the automotive field.

Roland Nuber comes from Friedrichshafen/Bodensee and initially trained as a toolmaker at Maybach Motorenbau in Friedrichshafen from 1963 to 1966, and he completed this training with a diploma as a skilled craftsman. From 1968 to 1971 he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Ravensburg/Weingarten completing his studies as a Dipl.-Ing. (FH). After finishing his studies he worked at the university as a scientific assistant both teaching and researching in the sections: machine tools, electro-technology, chemistry and machine measurement technology.

From 1973 to 1992 Roland Nuber worked as a development engineer at Wankel GmbH in Lindau, from 1986 as operations manager, and from 1991 as managing director. During this time he was actively and responsibly concerned with combustion engines, charging systems, air compressors, and cold and heat pumps. From 1992 he worked as the Head of the Construction, Development and Testing Section at Uraca Pumpenfabrik in Bad Urach. From 1998 to 2011 he held the position of Head of Product Development and Prototype Construction as well as Patent Manager at an automobile supply company.

Since 2011 Roland Nuber has been working as the active interface between the development department of an automobile supplier and Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel. Here he is involved in the recognition and evaluation of inventions, the establishment of remuneration for inventors and the regular monthly appraisal of relevant information about protective rights.
