Dr. Urs Ferber has been at Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel since 2014. The main focus of his technical training was in the fields of mechanics, atomic force and scanning tunnel microscopy, optical and confocal microscopy and biophysics.
His activities as a patent attorney are divided equally between obtaining protective rights on the one hand and the defence and enforcement of protective rights, for example in opposition proceedings, on the other. Most of his work as an attorney focuses on patent law but this is complemented by mandates and commissions in trade-mark law.
Dr. Urs Ferber was born in Stuttgart in 1982 and completed his Abitur in Kempten / Allgäu in 2001.
He went on to study physics at Ulm University from 2002 to 2008 and subsequently did his doctorate in the specialised field of biophysics at University College in Dublin, Ireland from 2008 to 2011. His professional training as a patent attorney was completed at Flügel Preissner Schober Seidel in 2014 and since then he has worked for the firm as a fully qualified patent representative.
